The public reading of scripture and prayers is an important ministry. It's a skill that requires conviction and reverence as well as authenticity to your own, unique voice. And as we've moved away from microphones in our worship together, speaking up in church may seem even more daunting. The good news it that it is a teachable skill, one that singers and readers have been doing for millennia.
