Everyone Home DC
We partner with Everyone Home DC here on Capitol Hill. We are associated with their organization in order to respond meaningfully to the holistic needs of the people at risk of or experiencing homelessness in our area. Our clergy meet regularly with all the clergy from Churches on Capitol Hill in order to help assess the needs and to provide volunteers and resources that can help with the Everyone Home DC mission.
Saint Monica and Saint James' engagement with Everyone Home DC is ongoing throughout the year. We provide:
Backpacks: At the beginning of each new school year we provide backpacks for kids who need them. Learn about the 2024 Back to School initiative here.
Thanksgiving Baskets: Each Thanksgiving we provide Thanksgiving baskets for families to have a nice family Thanksgiving meal together
Adopt a Family at Christmas: We adopt a family in our Capitol Hill neighborhood in order to provide a Christmas for their children that they would not otherwise be able to provide.
