Formation in Frances Perkins Hall

We gather for Sunday Formation hour for conversation about scripture, the liturgy, and other themes. Recent topics have included reflections on the Eucharist, a Lenten study of the baptismal vows, and an Easter series on praying the Psalms.

These discussions are an opportunity to grow in our understanding of the faith we share and challenge what we believe.

Plan to join us in Advent for the next formation series.

Advent Formation Series: Journeying towards Bethlehem

Sundays during Advent, 10 am in Frances Perkins Hall

The town of Bethlehem features prominently in the Christmas story as the birthplace of Jesus, and has long been a destination for Christian pilgrims. Join us during the four Sundays of Advent before the 11 am service for faith formation discussions about this special place. During these sessions, we will explore the history and theological significance of Bethlehem, as well as the journeys that biblical characters and people today take there. These discussions will help us interpret the Christmas story in a new way and deepen our own journeys toward Christ in the Advent season.
