Daughters of the King

Martha Chapter

Prayer, Service, Evangelism

Daughters of the King® is an order for women who are communicants of the Episcopal Church, churches in communion with it, or churches in the historic episcopate but not in communion with it. Our membership currently includes women in the Anglican, Episcopal, Lutheran (ELCA) and Roman Catholic churches. Reaffirming the promises made at Baptism and Confirmation, a Daughter pledges herself to a life-long program of prayer, service and evangelism. She receives support in this commitment from a worldwide community of like-minded women.

St. Monica and St. James' DOK chapter is the Martha Chapter.  We are an active participant in the Diocese of Washington and the National Chapter of the Daughters of the King.

The Martha Chapter holds meetings once a month.  In accordance with our rule of life, we hold the parish and all parish members in our daily prayers.

If you are interested in joining our chapter of wonderful, prayerful women please contact Irene Moore at irenemoore0101@comcast.net.
